Summary Evaluation Encourages Enthusiasm, Deployment and Discussion for a Bright Future — The Secretary-General Work Report Meeting of Branches of the China Foundry Association Grandly Held in Beijing
On January 6, 2017, the Secretary-General Work Report Meeting of Branches of the China Foundry Association was grandly held at Tengda Building in Beijing. Zhang Libo, Executive Vice President of the China Foundry Association, Wen Ping, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General, Executive Vice Presidents Zhi Xiaoheng and Fan Qi, Executive Director Xue Ji'er, as well as nearly 60 heads of various branches and heads of business departments of the Secretariat attended the meeting.
Fan Qi, Executive Vice President of the China Foundry Association, presided over the meeting.
The meeting lasted one day. Participants successively listened to the 2016 annual work reports of more than 30 branch secretaries, fully summarizing the previous year's work while reporting on plans for 2017.
2016 was a critical year for the transformation and upgrading of the foundry industry. Against the backdrop of increasing development pressures in the industry, the China Foundry Association, with the close cooperation and joint efforts of its branches, followed the requirements of the third entrepreneurship, focusing closely on key, hot, and difficult issues in the industry. It assisted the government in management, effectively solved enterprise difficulties, built broad service platforms, promoted industrial structure adjustment and transformation and upgrading, and ensured a role in improving quality and efficiency. Throughout 2016, the branches' work was substantial, innovative, and outstanding. Through close internal interaction and co-building high-quality system services, the annual planned tasks were well completed. The continuous growth and improvement of branches have become an important support for the association to fully realize the third entrepreneurship.
After hearing the work reports from branch heads, Wen Ping arranged and deployed the Secretariat's key work for 2017. Wen Ping pointed out: In 2017, all staff of the Secretariat and branches should continue to unite and concentrate their efforts, strengthen their beliefs, overcome difficulties, innovate ideas, and safeguard steady growth, structural adjustment, and green, healthy, and sustainable development of the industry. The association will focus on promoting the "13th Five-Year Development Plan for the Foundry Industry," actively participate in the formulation and revision of relevant national industrial policies and group standards, accelerate the construction of industry regional alliances and industrial clusters, conduct industry evaluations and collect "Four New" technologies, build platforms such as "China Foundry Cloud Commerce" and exhibitions, construct a large industry database, deepen international exchanges, strengthen vocational education and training, and carry out key industry work such as compiling the "History of China's Foundry Development" and the "Foundry Yearbook."
In his concluding speech, Zhang Libo pointed out: From January to November 2016, the added value of the machinery industry increased by 9.6% year-on-year, 3.6 percentage points higher than the industrial average for the same period, 2.7 percentage points higher than manufacturing, and 4.3 percentage points higher than the same period last year. As a strong support for the equipment manufacturing industry, the foundry industry's growth was steady and played a positive role in stabilizing national industrial growth.
Therefore, we should have full confidence in development, work with renewed vigor, and make persistent efforts in the new year. Zhang Libo emphasized that in 2017, the association will further enhance the breadth and depth of branch work assessments to promote the expansion and deepening of sub-industry work; at the same time, continue to strictly enforce financial systems and strengthen standardized management; and according to the "Comprehensive Supervision Measures for Industry Associations and Chambers of Commerce (Trial)," focus on strengthening party building, incorporating branch secretaries into the association's party branch management. Meanwhile, the association will unite all its strength to carry out work on group standards, credit rating evaluations, industry "Four New" initiatives, single champion projects, industry evaluations, exhibitions and platform building, the National Open University Foundry College and training base construction, etc. Through strengthened publicity and other means, it will gather and exert the positive energy of the industry. In building the "China Foundry Cloud Commerce" e-commerce platform and the National Functional Foundry Industry Innovation Center platform, it will play an active promoting role.
Branches are the main components of the association and an important support for the Secretariat's work. In future work, all branches should continue to conscientiously perform their duties, take responsibility, demonstrate selfless dedication to the industry, shoulder the industry's mission, and make greater contributions to promoting the development of China's foundry industry.
